Feeding Programmes at Mpemba, Chipwepwete and Namende Rural Primary Schools

Our feeding programmes provide school meals for over 3,200 every school day.  Children come to school because of the promise of food, but they only get food if they attend class.  Food for the body and food for the mind!  We have feeding programmes at our three partner schools, Mpemba, Chipwepwete and Namende

Breakfast is a mug of maize porridge fortified with vitamins and is cooked in huge vats each of which serve 300 children.  The communities are responsible for preparing the porridge, each village surrounding the school providing 4-6 women each day to spend around three hours preparing, serving and clearing away.

It only costs £12.50 per child per year.  Join us in helping children to be healthy, to enjoy school, to be better able to concentrate in class and give them hope of a better future.
