Mpemba School Kitchen Project

In 2014 Hope4Malawi built and equipped a kitchen at Mpemba Primary school where 1,600 pupils are now given a school dinner each day.  See a video of the Kitchen Opening here

The children at this school often go for days without nutritious food;  they sit on the floor to learn and there are very  few resources to make learning more interesting.  With your help we can change that.

It costs just £12 a year per child to feed 1,700 children at the school.

The kitchen has been built and was commissioned on 6th August 2013 when the children were given their first meal.  We hope to be able to fund the feeding programme of £20,400 per year for the foreseeable future while at the same time establishing some sustainable projects near the school. We would also like to develop a partnership with an English school, and develop  projects in the community.

Please help us; your donation large or small will make a big difference to these children’s lives- thank you; Please make your donation here or email Sara at for details of how you can be involved.

In 2015 all charity running  costs have been covered by the Trustees of Hope4Malawi so all donations will be used to feed the children at Mpemba School.
